Business Modeling
Business modeling is the process of developing conceptual framework to predict the dimensional interaction of items that may include:
- Time
- Sales/Qty
- Cash Flow
- Product Mix
- Customer Segmentation
- Investment Outcomes
To properly develop a model the variables must be scrutinized and data must be cleansed. A model is just that a model, without the correct mix of business acumen and dimensional experience with multi-variables most will feel overwhelmed. The process of developing a model is straight forward, and if developed in a product such as Excel easily distributed. Once a model is developed, it needs to be continuously updated to reflect the most recent information. I have developed models that span all business functions; models which have transformed strategy into action. Examples of some models developed are listed below:
- Sales projections
- New product introductions
- ROI on technology investments
- Sales tools
- New pricing strategies
- Multi channel discounts
- Big box product introduction
- Product life cycle strategies
- Distribution and logistic rightsizing
